Peace for our Planet

Firstly, I’d like to say to anyone who likes, messages or just responds to this post on publishing, many thanks for good, critical or powerful argument of any kind. As an author seeking reaction, I’m pleased with what anyone wants to say.

So, the two historical events, as a U.K. citizen, I would go back to would be at the Battle of Britain and the events at Dunkirk. I’m old enough at 75 now to know the huge debt of gratitude I owe the men and women who committed themselves to defeating Fascism.

Looking back to a historical context of the massive effort from all the Allies on all the Continents of all the world who got on the front foot for freedom; all to defeat the scourge and evil of the Hitler regime.

Personally, I must also thank both my parents who both served; my father on terrible minesweepers and my mother as a WAFF skilful administrator worked underground in Nottingham, supporting air attacks on Hitler’s ambitions to destroy so many peoples way of life.

This was so important. For me, my life has been lived as an exception; I’ve never lived through a time when I had to wear a services uniform.

Many of those allies came from all over the world, the North American continent, Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe and so many groups of different peoples within those lands.

I know I have all those international allies to thank.

I pray now that the human species devotes itself internationally to fighting the insidious poisoning of our beautiful planet, evolving and leaving behind all the divisions of nationalism to achieve it.
