‘The Buried Doctrine’ this week reflects on children and colonialism.
There have been so many words, investigations, reports and history books written about over 500 years of European, colonialism; how it grew from and believed in the corrupted Catholic Doctrine of Discovery instead of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth Himself.
This post asks the question, how did the European heart, corrupted by the human hand of Catholic Popes, create believers who thought it was in the Christian heart to steal hundreds of thousands of children from their parents, try to own them and assimilate them? Many thousands of small children stolen found their way into unmarked graves.
We have to ask, did Jesus Christ teach such a thing?
What is recorded about what Jesus said should happen to people who harmed children. We know from the statements of survivors of the European assimilations to so called Boarding Schools, Training Camps and even psychiatric hospitals, they suffered many forms of abuse by state funded adults.
Luke 17.2 recorded that Jesus said:
“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than he should cause one of these little ones to sin”
What went so fundamentally wrong in the colonial heart? Does four Presidential and Prime Ministerial apologies tell us anything about why four separate colonial state funded policies in the USA, New Zealand, Australia and Canada took this path together during the same overall time period? What was the role of the U.K. Monarchy as Head of State through 150 years of Canadian policy and 70 years of New Zealand and Australian policy? All three of these nations were constructed as Constitutional Monarchies.
