I am continuing to post in my new series of posts, ‘The Bounty Hunter – Book Two’. This series of posts is about developing a work of fiction based on real life experience.
It’s been really good to have already received some thoughts and historical events that I am following up.
In researching and reading for this second book in ‘The Corleone Christ’ trilogy I’ve been looking into examples of events where First Nation people have been forcefully removed from their owned, ancestral land by governmental, political and corporate organisations, taking brutal action to drill or mine carbon (oil, coal or gas) precious metals and minerals.
Any stories, references or narratives you want to share will be very gratefully received.
On the very English Cotswolds, I’ve been thinking for a while that this very traditional environment provides great camouflage for a wealthy, corrupted oil company executive to hide out and reinvent him or herself. Some very wealthy little villages and towns where good works could be done together with cash strapped Councils; greasing the wheels for land development; the arts; then there’s local political parties in need of donations.
Then there could be interesting storylines about who has been trailing this character from the past……
