What’s a song lyric that has stuck with you forever?

I first encountered this song back in 1973 when I bought Dark Side of the Moon as a brand new, recently released album. That’s 53 years ago now; I was 22 years young. I hadn’t long left my home town – in fact I had left in search of the beginning of my career. I hadn’t long left heard the ‘Starting Gun’ aged 18 but didn’t immediately begin the race.

Now aged 75, I still find myself playing this track. I find it still anchors me on a journey that continues.

Now the journey is learning to become an author. It’s a tough journey, but I’m still in the game. My first published political crime thriller is, ‘The Corleone Christ’. I’m now working on the second of a trilogy, ‘The Bounty Hunter’.
