The fictional character I most admire.

Marlow speaks in The Heart of Darkness: “You know I hate, detest, and can’t bear a lie, not because I am straighter than the rest of us, but simply because it appalls me.”

My main character John Green has a resonance of this great Conrad character. His own life if under great pressure, maybe falling apart, yet he is attracted to the moral corruption of the core human problems of justice demanded in our time in history.
